Khmer Creations develops and trades in beautiful hand-made crafts produced by social enterprises in Cambodia. Our jewellery-making social enterprise, set up in 2007, provides employment and training opportunities to young Cambodian women living in impoverished areas of Phnom Penh.

All of our artisans earn a fair and stable wage that enables them to support themselves, their families and ensures that they are not exploited by sex traffickers, or in some cases, trafficked back into the sex trade. Staff receive on-going English language tutoring, leadership skills training, assistance with personal financial management and are all enrolled in an individualised savings scheme. They actively participate in decision making and are being trained in the fundamentals of the business. Through their own initiative, some artisans have decided to return to formal education in the evenings to complete their high school diplomas, with hopes to go on into further education.

We ensure that all artisans we trade with are paid fairly and up front for the products we sell. Our goal is to use any profits generated by the sale of these products in Australia to assist more social enterprises in Cambodia. Our products are stored in and dispatched from Australia to ensure that they reach you safely, and on time.
